Using this Procedures Site

Scope of this chapter

These Policy and Procedures are intended for use by all practitioners, volunteers, services and partner agencies in Salford.

This quick guide explains how the manual works.

This manual will be updated on a regular basis and a summary of the changes can be accessed via the 'Amendments' button on the navigation bar. You will also find the detail of the next planned manual update in this section.

If you would like to suggest a change to the procedures manual discuss your suggestion with your line manager in the first instance.

This manual contains a Contacts and Practice Resources section which can be accessed via the big button at the bottom of the welcome page, or from the main contents list. This resource library is populated and maintained locally. If there is a resource that you think should be added talk in the first instance to your manager.

A system administrator is a person (or persons) whose role is to manage the Contacts and Practice Resources area. This includes structuring the sections, adding resources and deleting resources.

Before undertaking any action on the Contacts and Practice Resources area, the system administrator/s must be assured that:

  • Any new resource has received the required local sign-off;
  • The resource is not in draft form;
  • The resource is in the correct format (PDF if not designed to be edited);
  • The resource is legally sound and reflective of local requirements;
  • The resource does not breach any copyright;
  • The resource is not in breach of the Data Protection Act 2018 or the UK GDPR;
  • Any online resource links are working and secure.

Legal advice should be sought as necessary.

It is important to note that tri.x have no responsibility for the above and do not review the content of the Contacts and Practice Resources area. This includes any resources added by tri.x on your behalf.

It is also important to note that tri.x do not hold any data about the date upon which a local resource is added, updated, removed etc. Nor is an archive of the Contacts and Practice Resources area kept. We recommend that you keep a local record of this information, should you ever require it in the future.

The manual is accessed by readers who may find terms that they are not familiar with. Therefore, a glossary of definitions is available under the resource tab.

There is also a National Contacts resource populated with details of key national agencies and organisations likely to be relevant to procedures user.

Every effort has been taken to ensure regulatory compliance. If you discover any errors or omissions, please alert your manager.

We recommend that you register with us to automatically receive notification when this manual is updated. Click on the 'Register for Updates' button on the home screen, to complete and send your details to us.

We will manage your data respectfully and in accordance with your preferences and we will never share your data with other organisations for marketing or other purposes.
